Food drive for homeless (3 hours Service) (Out-of-School) -2-

Yesterday, I've visited the orphanage we visited before and I saw many familiar faces. They were so happy to see me once again. We brought Vietnamese Noodle, biscuits, jelly and some home baked bread from home to share with them. While the leaders of the group set up a corner for food, we played and shared personal thoughts with them. They shared their feelings of life in orphanage and I also shared my thoughts about my life. Exciting part of it was that I taught them some Korean greeting words. They respected me like if I was their teacher and it really felt good. I had an urge to be a teacher in the future to help these young kids. Its a great experience for me to try out these kind of work and I am really enjoying it. Next time, I am going to try  my best to teach them more Korean greeting words because many Korean groups of people support this orphanage. It will be really useful for them to use it to their next Korean people they meet.

I participated in the Fun Run for about 5 times now and I had so much fun. I reached the finish like at about 36 minutes and wanted to come in first from AIS however my friends came in before me. I think the activity itself was a great idea and i think everyone had fun. It was so good to see people from AIS wearing AIS Sports T-shirt, i felt really proud of our school. Next time in Terry Fox, my aim to to come in within 30minutes and 25minutes next year.

This time, we went to a different place in Ho Chi Minh City to give food to the citizens there. The leaders of the group cooked the food while we did our jobs on getting Rice and other dishes ready on Plate to serve. There were more elderly than young people there and we also gave out Vitamin pills for the elders. After the they finished eating, we also washed the dishes and clear the table with clean cloth for next week's session. I felt really happy, helping the people in Ho Chi Minh City because its 2013 and no one should be Hungry. I believe the fact that everyone should be treated fair and doing this kind of community service is a magnificent job.

Firstly i joined this group for CAS but honestly, after participating and giving  out food to the people in orphanage and other people in Vietnam made me feel really sad. Last Saturday, i went to a Orphanage in Bien hoa, many kids welcomed us. we shook hands and gave out foods me brought in. The foods were Vietnamese Noodles, yogurts, biscuits, and some sweets. The kids loved it. it was really sad to see kids younger than i am without parents. I really felt the importance of my parents and how lucky i was. It felt really good helping kids, since I believe in Karma, if i make others happy, i believe that happiness will comeback to me. I honestly think this activity was an awesome opportunity for me and I've realized so many things I wasn't aware of.
